Free PDF Tools — Private by Design
Merge, split, convert and edit PDFs right in your browser. Your files never leave your device — no uploads, no sign-up, no waiting on a server.
All PDF tools
Pick a tool, drop in your file, download the result. That’s the whole process.
Try “merge”, “split”, “rotate” or “images”.
Your files never leave your device
Most PDF sites ask you to upload your documents to their servers. PDFKit doesn’t. Every tool runs entirely in this browser tab using JavaScript — your file is opened locally, processed locally, and the result is generated locally. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and there is no server copy to leak, sell, or lose. Close the tab and the file is gone. That makes PDFKit safe for contracts, tax forms, ID scans, and anything else you’d rather keep to yourself.
How it works
Three steps, all on your own machine:
Choose a tool & add your file
Drag and drop a PDF (or images) into the tool. Your browser reads the file into memory — it is never transmitted.
Set your options
Pick a page range, a rotation, a watermark — whatever the tool needs. Sensible defaults are already filled in.
Download the result
The finished file is built in your browser and saved straight to your downloads. No email, no queue, no account.
About PDFKit
PDFKit is a small, focused set of PDF utilities built for everyday document work: combining reports, pulling pages out of a contract, turning scans into a single PDF, stamping page numbers on a manuscript, and shrinking a file before you email it. It is made for English-speaking users in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia who want the job done quickly — without handing private documents to a stranger’s server.
Under the hood, PDFKit uses the open-source pdf-lib and PDF.js libraries, loaded once and then run entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no file-size upsells, and no watermarks added to your output. PDFKit is part of the TapeToolHQ network of free, browser-based tools.
